Math Enrichment

I am so proud of how the students are working so hard in math class. The first test is always intimidating. If you feel your child is struggling, here are some great resources:

You can look up different games to practice skills.

www.commoncoresheets.com   For this site you look up the grade and what you want to practice. You can print the worksheets or look at it and complete it off you computer/device.

It has the workbook (you can print homework if your child lost theirs:), games, and you can access test scores. Please remember that we add points for their work that they show and for the definitions, so the score listed is NOT their final grade. The first test is always hard, so do not worry! If your child is participating and turning in their work each day, this will carry them a long way!!!

If you are looking for some math enrichment, for additional help, or for a challenge.....
Please check out Khan Academy. Our class code will be up and running next week!
If you want to go ahead and check it out, go to the website and click "LOGIN" and then click "Continue with Google" and then sign in.

Reminders...

Another great week in our classroom! Your kiddos are starting to get the hang of 4th grade. Mrs. Besk and I are hard at work directing traffic when swapping 50 children back and forth for writing and math class. We are and loving every minute of it! Here are a few reminders...

  • AR goals were sent home this last week. Check-in with your child to see what their goal is. Use the TLCS school website to login and take a quiz!!
  • Homework is turned in daily this year. Every night there is a spelling and math homework. Help your child be responsible and get their assignments to school each day.
  • Our yearly Drive For School fundraiser is coming up. We will have an all-school rally to get excited and learn more about this fundraiser on September 12.
  • NO School on September 27. This is a teacher in-service day. Please make other arrangements for your child.
As always please email me and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!!
