February Events

We have SO much going on in February. Just wanted to give you a heads up on all that is happening in our class this month!

• Tuesday, February 12th is GOLD RUSH DAY! We have a fun filled day planned for the kids. We encourage them to dress in "49er" attire, (flannel shirts, jeans, overalls, boots, bandannas, etc). It will be a great day!
• Thursday, February 14th is Valentines Day- We will be passing out Valentine Cards in class. Please sign up if you would like to bring something for our class celebration.
• Friday, February 15th through Monday, February 18th- NO SCHOOL!!- Presidents weekend
• Thursday, February 21st- Open House- Please join us in the classroom from 7:00-8:00 and see how hard your child has been working!!
• Friday, February 22nd- 1/2 Day of School

We also have many events coming up in March. Please continue to help your child practice for the Speech Meet all of this month. Our in-class Speech Meet will take place the week of March 4-8.

I am sending home a packet to explain our California Landmark Project. It is a written, research report that is due March 28th. It will also include a home-made model of your child's chosen landmark. The model will be due April 9th. The project will be explained in detail during class and all of the instructions will be in the packet coming home.

Neon Day!

Just a reminder that NEON Day is TOMORROW. In support of our fun run the school is dressing up in NEON colors for the Fun Run Rally. If your child has neon colored clothing please remind them to wear them TOMORROW. If you have not registered your child for the Fun Run, please do it soon.
