Halloween

Hi Families-

As you know Halloween is next Tuesday! At Twin Lakes we do NOT allow the kids to wear costumes to school. However, I am planning on doing a fall celebration in class centered around some fun activities. I have 3 fall activities that the kids will rotate through. Our schedule that Tuesday is tricky because of our pull out classes. We will be having our activity time from 1:15 -2:00. If you are interested in helping with a project or bringing a treat, please let me know by emailing me. Thanks!!

reminders for the week

Hi Families! Here are a few reminders for the week...

1. Picture Retakes are Monday (october 16) - if you want your child to take a makeup photo and haven't already signed them up, please do so HERE or email Lora. If you haven't yet looked at the photos you can do so HERE - password is TLCS2017.

2. Our Outdoor Movie Night is this Friday, October 20th. Food trucks will arrive at 6pm and the movie, SING, will begin at 7pm. Bring your chairs and blankets and join us for the FUN!!

3. NEW toys/games, clothing, school supplies, shoes, etc are still being collected to be sent to families in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. The deadline to bring items in is October 25th.

Hurricane Harvey Relief

Hi Parents,

Several of our students have expressed a desire to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. I'm so proud of them!

Valerie Webb, Twin Lakes Church office pastor, connected us with a couple from the church, Sue and Walt Thomas, who are working with the Salvation Army of the Greater Houston Area. They are collecting toys and winter clothing to be distributed to eligible, needy children in the Houston Area.

You can help by donating one of the following new items:

• Toys/games for boys or girls ages 1 - 16
• Jackets, heavy sweaters, coats
• Back packs, books, school supplies
• Shoes, socks

Winter clothes can be for male or female ages 1 -14.
We are collecing these new items in the school office by October 25th. The Thomases will pick up our gifts and drive all donated gifts to Houston in time for Christmas.

If you have any questions, please call the school office!

STEAM Vision Night

Join us for our STEAM Vision Night. Learn all about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT

Hi Families! Please mark your calendars- BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT is THURSDAY, AUGUST 31!! There are 2 elementary sessions, 6:30-7:00 & 7:15-7:45. There is also ONE middle school session from 7:00-8:00. The information given at the 2 elementary sessions will be the same. This allows for parents to attend classes for multiple kids. This is a PARENT ONLY night, please plan accordingly. I hope to see all of you there!!
